TEHRAN (IQNA) – Knowing God and letting other know Him are possible through Fitrat (nature), Aql (intellect) and emotions.

Holy Quran

There are simple ways that with more clarity take us closer to knowing God.

The best and easiest way for knowing that God exists and that He is one is the amazing order and harmony among beings in the world. This is called the Argument of Order. Here are some points about the Argument of Order:

1- It is an argument mentioned in the Quran. The verses of the Holy Book call on us to know the wonders of nature and reflect on the signs of greatness of God.

2- It creates love. When one realizes the blessings of God, his love for God increases.

3- It is sweet., One who recognizes the connections in the world, he would enjoy it.

4- It is dynamic. The more science advances, the more connections among beings are discovered.

5- It is understandable to all and there is no need for philosophical knowledge to recognize it.

It is obvious that harmony in the components of a building or a book signifies that it has been built or written by one.

If three painters start separately drawing a rooster, with one drawing its head, another drawing its body and the third drawing its feet, and then we put together the three papers, there will certainly be no harmony in the outcome.

So the existence of so much harmony and proportionality is the best reason for recognizing that the world has one Creator.

Imam Sadiq (AS) said that in every breath one breathes there are thousands of blessings because one can breathe when leaves of trees, waters of oceans, and all other creatures fulfil their responsibilities.

In this world, all opposite things have created such a harmonious system.

Have you ever thought about the harmony that there is between our stomach in the body and the foods that we can find to eat? One gets thirsty and there is water. One has sexual desires and there is a spouse.

Man’s spirit and Fitrat pursue the infinite and are not satisfied with things that are limited. Man intrinsically seeks perfection and there should be a perfect being out there and that is God.

We have love in our heart and therefore there should be a beloved. Who is mankind’s true beloved? It is God not those that come and go. Prophet Abraham (AS) said, “I do not love those who fade away.” (Surah Al-Anaam, Verse 76)
